Level 2 canyoning gedaan. Leuk, gevarieerd parcour met 2x abseilen, vele sprongen en glijbanen. Prachtige natuur. Georges is een topgids die goed op de veiligheid let en duidelijke instructies geeft. Ook de communicatie met Olivier vooraf bij het boeken is perfect.

Notre guide, Rémi était top, il a su s’adapter à chaque personne et a été à l’écoute.
Et le parcours de 2h-2h30 avec des vues surprenantes est passé à une vitesse incroyable.

Première expérience de canyoning incroyable dans les gorges du Loup. Descente en rappel, toboggans, petits sauts, grands sauts, tout y est !

My family of 8 (14-38) enjoyed a day of canyoning and absailing whilst in France. We chose Oliver’s company due to his excellent communication. He even gave us lots of recommendations for our trip. He would always get back quickly and was very informative. The rates were excellent as we had over 6 people.

We were met by Julien our guide who was lovely, comical and embraced our Scottish accent. He was a good laugh throughout.

The activity was excellent. We learned to absail too which was fun! Everyone loved the whole experience.

If booking please note: there are no changing areas. We had to change in our cars but we dried quickly in the summer sun.

I would have loved if the guides had cameras to take photos. We done ghyll scrambling in the Lake District and there were 2 guides - one of which would take lots of photos for us! Although I appreciate, another guide would increase costs and the currents in some of the waters may be unsafe! But just a suggestion :)

Extreme canyoning with hard full-day canyons around Nice

This page presents the extreme canyoning trips around Nice. These outings are very sustained and you must be an experienced and fit practionner. You will have to do very complicated things to go down these hard canyons of the French Riviera. As the conditions in theses tours can be really difficult, you shouldn’t go for it if you are a beginner!

All these trips are full day and quite long. The average time in the water is 4 to 5 hours so you need a sandwich to eat something during the outing.

The main interest of grade 4 canyons is to do complicated and impressive things with the rope. If you are searching for jumps and slides, keep going on grade 2 or 3 outings which are much more fun! The best full-day canyons if you like jumps and slides are Riolan, La Bollène Vésubie or the Barbaira canyons. These two last canyons are on the intermediate canyoning page. During a half day trip, the Gorges du Loup canyon also offers many big jumps and slides!

Extreme canyoning in grade 3

80 euros per person or 75 euros per person if you book for at least 6 people

Reserved for experienced and fit practicioners. The rythm will be faster and sustained. Possible jumps of 12 m. Big slides and abseiling under waterfalls. The stream can be strong… You must be over 14. You may have to walk a long way to reach the canyon or come back…

La Maglia, close to Breil sur Roya

Unfortunately, this canyon has been destroyed by Alex storm during october 2020. It’s not possible to go there again for the moment…

La Maglia is the extreme spot of canyoneering in the french riviera. You will always be in action in a steep and sustained canyon with many waterfalls. There are very few easy places where you can rest. On top of that, it is really beautifull and you will abseil inside an incredible cave! The best canyon around Nice if you like big jumps and thrilling experiences!

Riolan, the biggest canyon in the alpes Maritimes, Esteron valley

You will live a real adventure one hour from Nice by car! Amazing canyon in Esteron Valley, one of the wildest places in the Côte d’Azur. You will swim between huge cliffs and go down impressive waterfalls with funny obstacles.

Extreme canyoning tours in grade 4

90 euros per person, or 85 euros per person if you book for 6 people and more

The most demanding canyons in the French Riviera. Theses trips are very interesting if you particularly like doing hard things with ropes like big rapelling… You must be used to abseiling down 70 meters waterfalls. Technical challenges will be higher. You have to be really fit.

Morghé-Maglia

In Roya valley, you will go down many impressive abseils for about 200 meters before arriving in the second part of La Maglia.

Cascade de Courmes

In Gorges du Loup valley, we start under the Courmes village with several abseils before arriving the 70 meters one. Then we can finish in Gorges du Loup classical trip… if you are not tired!
