We had a great time canyoning with the family and I enjoyed some good climbs with my sons. They were flexible and Olivier was helpful and responded really fast.

Great experience! :) It was our first time canyoing and we chose level 2. It was really fun and our guide Remi always made sure that we were all safe and feeling good!

Level 2 canyoning gedaan.

Merci encore !

My family of 8 (14-38) enjoyed a day of canyoning and absailing whilst in France. We chose Oliver’s company due to his excellent communication. He even gave us lots of recommendations for our trip. He would always get back quickly and was very informative. The rates were excellent as we had over 6 people. We were met by Julien our guide who was lovely, comical and embraced our Scottish accent. He was a good laugh throughout. The activity was excellent. We learned to absail too which was fun! Everyone loved the whole experience. If booking please note: there are no changing areas. We had to change in our cars but we dried quickly in the summer sun. I would have loved if the guides had cameras to take photos. We done ghyll scrambling in the Lake District and there were 2 guides - one of which would take lots of photos for us! Although I appreciate, another guide would increase costs and the currents in some of the waters may be unsafe! But just a suggestion :) We would 100% recommend Olivers company and if we were ever returning to water canyon we would absolutely use this company again!

Péril jaune, amazing multi-pitch climbing route in Saint-Jeannet, near Nice Côte d’Azur

Here are some pictures of the Péril Jaune long climbing route, one of Saint Jeannet’s most classical multi-pitch climbs, this time climbed with Bjorn Buckwalter from Sweden. The Péril Jaune was first climbed in 1957 by F. Cravoisier and M. Dufranc. It crosses the west face of Baou de Saint Jeannet in a logical and esthetic climbing of 200m with featured rocks and many diedrals. Graded 6a, the climbing is not so easy, even today and young climbers could be rather surprised to see the level of this route climbed 60 years ago!

Starting the route!

The route starts in a quite polished diedral that quickly leads to a very nice slab with many good holds. Then, you’ll start an amazing overhanging diedral, quite physical !

Nice view between two pitches!

A traverse on right side will lead you to good pitches in diedral, which are not so easy for the 6a grade and with quite far bolting. Most people would appreciate to have stoppers and friends with them to protect better!

Geting higher!

After that, you will arrive on easy grassy slopes for a last rest before climbing the last pitch to reach the summit of Baou de Saint Jeannet and having an amazing view on French Riviera and the village below!

You also will have an amazing view on the cost from the summit of Péril Jaune route.

The Peril Jaune is without doubt one of the best multi-pitch climbing routes you can climb on the Baou de saint Jeannet!
